The Computer Vision Center is a non-profit institution and leading research and development centre in the Computer Vision field. Based on the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) campus, CVC is working to ensure that the development of computer vision becomes one of Catalonia’s key scientific, technological and industrial activities.

Research at CVC

Meeting the scientific and technological challenge of computer vision requires coordination between different fields of research including ICT, visual sciences, optics, mathematics, physics and electronics. CVC researchers have an innovation culture where basic research and knowledge transfer coexist. New knowledge is generated to tackle with societal challenges that require image understanding in fields like biomedicine, mobility and transportation, culture and creativity, manufacturing, media, etc.
