BETA Technological centre

Contributing to sustainable rural development and to the transition to a circular bioeconomy

Since 2014, the BETA Technological Centre of the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia, has been developing a model of applied research that serves rural areas and society as a whole.

The centre makes its knowledge, expertise and infrastructures available to public administration, businesses and other stakeholders to promote sustainability and competitiveness. It has built a strong track record in knowledge transfer and participation in European projects.

Rather than working for the territory, CT BETA works with the territory, jointly designing strategies and solutions to address environmental, social and economic challenges through the circular bioeconomy, while contributing to an improved quality of life.
