The Centre for Research in Agrotechnology (AGROTECNIO) has been an international centre of excellence (CERCA centre) since 2015, carrying out cutting-edge research with the aim of having a significant scientific and economic impact and improving the well-being of society. AGROTECNIO conducts scientific research in a wide range of fields, including agricultural sciences, the environment, animals, food and nutrition.
The centre is divided into 15 research groups, with researchers from the University of Lleida, University of Barcelona and Catalan Institution for Research and Advanced Studies (ICREA).
AGROTECNIO’s mission is to develop high-level fundamental and strategic scientific research that backs up the centre’s translational objectives, as well as to disseminate results to society, including the private sector.
