International Center for Numerical Methods in Engineering

Solutions in engineering

The International Center for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE) is an autonomous research centre that promotes advances in the development and application of numerical methods and computational techniques to solve engineering problems in an international context.

The centre’s activities involve a large number of technology transfer projects in conjunction with over 150 companies and organisations worldwide. Also of note is the CIMNE’s high degree of internationalisation as an organiser of congresses in its sector and a wide range of training and dissemination activities, such as courses, lectures and publications, through its network of “Aulas CIMNE” (CIMNE classrooms) in 11 countries.
