Sant Pau Research Institute

A qualitative step forward in building a new research centre model

The mission of the Sant Pau Institute of Biomedical Research (IR Sant Pau) is to promote basic, clinical, epidemiological and health service research in the field of health sciences and biomedicine with the aim of helping improve people’s health.

The centre channels the demands and needs of the scientific community associated with Hospital de Sant Pau and promotes the dissemination of research results in clinical practice. Currently, IR Sant Pau is one of the most active Catalan centres in producing research work, especially in translational research and the integration of new discoveries into healthcare practice.
